Growing up with voices like Lisa Ekdahl, Edith Piaf, the Kinks and the Spice Girls (long live girl power), Kamilla started writing her own songs when she was a young teenager. Being involved with music festivals like Oslo World and Førdefestivalen all her adult life, she has a broad knowledge of genres and big interest for music from all over the world. Music and singing also paved the way to a passionate interest for languages. It was Marisa Monte and Caetano Veloso's songs that gave Kamilla her first Portuguese lessons.

Becoming more curious about vocal technique, she took a 1-year course in Complete Vocal Technique (CVT) in 2015-2016. Greatly inspired by how efficient the technique was, she decided to dig deeper and in 2021 started the 3 year course at Complete Vocal Institute in Copenhagen to become a certified vocal coach. Teaching already felt very familiar as she had been giving Norwegian lessons 2016 through her own firm “Norsk med Kamilla”.

After graduating from CVI, Kamilla is more curious about music and the human voice than ever. She mostly teaches in Oslo but also has clients in abroad. She is also working on her own singing projects and is aiming start performing her own music in 2025.
